Video generation is available on Platinum and Diamond, and on paid Pro terms where a video allowance was explicitly included at checkout. Every video still consumes the credit cost shown before generation.
| Setting | Detail |
|---|---|
| Eligible limited Pro video offer | 3 videos in the first paid billing month, then 1 per billing month; each variation counts as one video |
| Max duration — limited Pro offer | 5 seconds |
| Models — limited Pro offer | Animate V2.1 and V2.2; audio-capable V4/V4.2 requires Platinum or Diamond |
| Transitional Pro offer | Terms purchased while the 2-video, 4-second offer was displayed keep that allowance until the paid term expires |
| Pro without a displayed video allowance | Video generation is not included; upgrade to Platinum or Diamond |
| Max duration — Platinum | 6 seconds |
| Max duration — Diamond | 18 seconds with Animate V4.2; other Animate versions support up to 10 seconds per generation, with eligible Extend Scene workflows producing longer clips |
| Extend Scene — Pro | Not available |
| Extend Scene — Platinum | Can extend eligible Animate videos while the current source clip is 12 seconds or shorter |
| Extend Scene — Diamond | Can keep extending eligible Animate videos as long as credits are available |
| Credit cost | Shown before generation or before queueing an upscale. Longer Animate V4.2 clips use proportionally more credits. |
| Video upscaling | Platinum and Diamond; available only for eligible video durations and resolutions |
The limited Pro video allowance resets at the start of each billing month. Unused videos do not roll over. Each generated output or variation uses one allowance. After the allowance is used, wait for the reset or upgrade to Platinum or Diamond. The two welcome videos apply only to the first paid billing month and are never repeated on renewal.
Paid Pro terms that began before 29 July 2026 at 12:00 UTC retain 3 videos per billing month, up to 5 seconds each, until that paid term expires. Terms purchased while the transitional 2-video, 4-second offer was displayed keep that exact allowance for the paid term. Accounts created before the experiment and existing paid customers are not enrolled in the first-time-buyer video experiment. Future Pro terms receive only the allowance explicitly shown for that purchase.
For Animate V4.2, eligible plans can select Medium or High resolution through 10 seconds. Diamond clips from 11 through 18 seconds use Low resolution. The generator updates the credit price as duration changes, and the backend recalculates the same proportional price before charging.
Upscaling videos
Video upscaling requires Platinum or Diamond. Open a completed Animate video and click Upscale. The menu only shows upscale sizes that are available for that video. Eligible options can be 1.25×, 1.5×, or 2×.
Upscale availability depends on the video's current duration and resolution. Short, lower-resolution clips may show more options. Longer clips, larger HD clips, or videos already upscaled during generation may not show video upscaling at all.
Upscaling increases resolution; it does not improve motion, anatomy, or prompt quality. The credit cost is shown before queueing and increases with duration and output size.
Extending videos
Extend Scene requires Platinum or Diamond. Open a completed Animate video and click Extend Scene to add another segment. Extended scenes currently support Animate V2.1, Animate V2.2, Animate V4, and Animate V4.2. The source clip keeps the same framing and output size, and each added segment is charged like a new video segment.
Diamond members can extend videos repeatedly as long as they have credits. For best results, keep the final video around 15–20 seconds when possible — quality, consistency, and motion coherence can degrade the more times a video is extended.
